Organization and activities of local government

The aim of this course is to acquaint students with the organization and activities of territorial self-governing units. Emphasis will be placed especially on the historical development of territorial self-governing units, as well as on their constitutional and legal definition and analysis of their competence, internal organization and activities.

Financial management of territorial self-governing units

The course pays particular attention to the position and tasks of territorial self-governing units, their property and its management or financial management of organizations established by municipalities or the region. The issue of budget revenues of the municipality and the region, both of a tax and non-tax nature, will also be left out.

Basics of management and control

Within the course, students will get acquainted with the basic issues of organizational management and gain theoretical knowledge that every manager should know, and whose knowledge is crucial for successful business management in general. Attention will be paid to the individual roles, functions and competencies of each manager, as well as to the methods, procedures and principles of management. Students will get acquainted mainly with the function of planning, organizing, decision-making and related problem solving. Last but not least, the difference between a leader and a manager will be clarified.

Strategic management

The subject of strategic management deals with the individual steps of strategic management and the problems associated with their implementation. Furthermore, the course provides students with information and knowledge about the principles and basics of applying analytical methods in the company. The course provides guidance for ensuring business success in a market economy, anticipating market opportunities and solving possible business problems that are of a strategic nature. The course combines practical knowledge and theoretical directions for the field of strategic analysis of business processes and especially for the creation of new strategic goals, visions and recommendations for top management. The main content of the course is to acquaint students with the basic principles and methods of strategic management. After completing the course, the student will be able to explain the concept of strategic management, strategy, innovation strategy of the company and will be able to formulate the various stages of strategy creation and implement them.

The right to information, protection of personal data

This course focuses on information as the basic building block of modern society, which the law reflects in its many forms. Students will be acquainted with the issues of access to information, handling them, information protection in general, incl. protection of personal data and liability for their misuse. Basic legal regulations in the field of administrative law will not be left out, as well as regulations in the field of constitutional or international law.

Economics of public administration

The aim of the course is to provide students with a basic overview of various aspects of public administration economics with an emphasis on monetary and budgetary policy. Attention is paid to the role of individual institutions, relations and tools in the field of public administration and the explanation of this issue in a broader context.

Human resource management in the organization

The course acquaints students with the basic attitudes to the role of the human factor in the management and development of human resources in the organization. By studying the course, the student will acquire the basic methodological procedures of individual activities and procedures of human resources management at the basic level of management, organization and activities of the personnel department. Emphasis is placed on the basic system of knowledge of the theory of management and development of human resources. The student will gain skills and abilities to manage the basic subsystems of personnel work in the organization, monitoring and evaluation of the development of indicators in the field of human resources and employment. The aim of the course is to teach students to clearly present and argue professional knowledge and opinions and to prepare basic materials for decision-making in personnel matters.

Psychology of leadership and people management

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with basic knowledge about the development and current problems of management, with the psychological theory of management and the application of management psychology to the practice of global companies. Students will get acquainted with the role of psychology in managerial practice and in personnel management. They will understand the importance of the manager's personality, his internal attitudes, his behavior and communication when acting on subordinates. By completing the course, the student is equipped with basic knowledge for successful team leadership and teamwork, as well as for basic practical situations.

Motivation, job satisfaction and employee management

The aim of the course is to transfer comprehensive knowledge in the field of motivation, leadership and remuneration of employees in the business environment. By studying the course, the student will gain knowledge in the field of human resource management. The course points out the importance of human resources as a factor of competitive advantage in the company, students also get acquainted with the external and internal conditions of human resource management, such as working hours, working environment. Important personnel activities are defined. The areas of training and evaluation of employees with an impact on remuneration are explained in more detail. After completing the course, the student will be able to identify the educational and developmental needs of employees and explain different approaches to the evaluation of work performance and work behavior.

Criminal liability of legal entities, business corporations and municipalities and regions

Criminal liability of legal persons is a new phenomenon in the legal system. In terms of its structure, the course should initially define the concept of criminal liability of legal persons, including international legal bases, which can be understood as acquaintance with international conventions and regulations of the European Community and the European Union governing criminal liability of legal persons. Within this course, attention will be paid to the basic building blocks of this law. Definition of the terms "legal entity" and "criminal liability of legal entities", ie the definition of legal entities that can, or. they may not be prosecuted under this Act.
