COURSE OF ONLINE STUDY

Upon admission to the study program, each student will gain access to the student section. To successfully complete LLM studies, a student must complete a total of ten courses. Study requirements include answering test questions and passing a practical application exam for each subject in the program. The study is conducted in English. After completing all courses, you will be assigned a final thesis. The study is completed by elaboration of the final thesis. Subsequently, you will be issued a diploma and you will receive a professional title.

SUBJECTS OF THE PROGRAM

The LLM study program is an internationally recognized postgraduate law degree, the purpose of which is to provide applicants with expertise in a specialized field of law. The program is therefore intended primarily for students with previous legal education who want to increase their qualifications and move up their careers.

General issues of administrative law

The content of this course is mainly the basic institutes of administrative law, its definition, meaning, subject, sources and key principles that control the entire activity of public administration. The relationship of administrative law to public administration and other areas of law, the concept of administrative activity and its individual forms, the difference between subjects and executors of public administration and the basic issues of public administration organization will be explained in more detail.

Administrative punishment

The basis of this course is to acquaint students with the basic concepts and principles of administrative justice with a focus on the various types of proceedings that we may encounter in this area. Theoretical questions, valid legal regulation and its application in practice, characteristics of responsibility for administrative offenses and their division will be analyzed, as well as analysis of misdemeanor law, its sources, liability for misdemeanor and misdemeanor proceedings themselves.

Organization and activities of local government

The aim of this course is to acquaint students with the issues of organization and activities of territorial self-governing units and their bodies. Emphasis will be placed especially on the historical development of territorial self-governing units, as well as on their constitutional and legal definition and analysis of their competence, internal organization and activities.

Financial law

Financial law is part of public law and is therefore undoubtedly closely linked to issues of public administration and public law in general. For this reason, students should not lack basic knowledge in this area. Within the course, students will be explained issues related to the subjects of financial law, financial control and the basics of tax and budgetary law.

Financial management of territorial self-governing units

This course closely complements the previous courses, which concerned the basics of administrative law, the organization of public administration and financial law. Attention will be paid mainly to the position and tasks of territorial self-governing units, their property and its management or financial management of organizations established by municipalities or the region. The issue of budget revenues of the municipality and the region, both of a tax and non-tax nature, will also be left out.

Land law

Land law includes not only public law, but also private law aspects of the relationship to land as a special subject of legal relations. Students will be provided with an overview of the specifics of land law. In particular, the institutes of land ownership, land use rights, easements, land categorization and spatial planning will be discussed.

Labor law

The subject of labor law is one of the parts of social law, which we will deal with in this specialization. Teaching will focus on general knowledge of the basic concepts of labor law, employment - its origin, changes and termination and all the institutes that follow the employment. Furthermore, the issue of agency employment, various forms of collective labor relations, trade unions and control activities in the field of labor law will be clarified.

Social security law

The course focused on social security law is closely related to the previous course, which dealt with labor law and therefore relies on the student's orientation in this area of law. Attention will be paid to the standards governing material security and services that the state or territorial self-governing unit provides, regulates or provides to citizens who are for some reason restricted in gainful activity and will analyze all three subsystems contained in this right, ie social insurance, social security and social assistance.

The right to information, protection of personal data

This course focuses on information as a cornerstone of modern society, which the law reflects in its many forms. Students will be acquainted with the issues of access to information, handling them, information protection in general, incl. protection of personal data and liability for their misuse. Basic legal regulations in the field of administrative law will not be left out, as well as regulations in the field of constitutional or international law.

Fundamentals of environmental law

Environmental law is the last subject of this specialization and will focus primarily on issues that are closely related to the current causes and consequences of global threats and damage to the environment and the requirements to ensure its protection. Students of this course will be given a comprehensive overview of legislation in this area, principles, methods, tools and objectives of environmental protection with a focus on the protection of its components.
