SUBJECTS OF THE PROGRAM

The LLD (Doctor of Laws) study program focuses on corporate law issues, especially in relation to corporate governance and the position and responsibilities of members of the statutory bodies of companies.

Business corporation law

Corporate law is a basic component of business law. This course is to acquaint students with the basic legislation of companies and cooperatives, not only in general, but also with a focus on their individual types, ie a public company, limited partnership, limited liability company, joint stock company, and cooperative + multinational types of business corporations.

Competition law

The aim of the course is to clarify the basic rules of competition and basic legal norms that prevent its distortion. Attention is focused not only on the area of unfair competition in general, but also on special facts, including their basic characteristics. The area of competition law from the point of view of European law will not be left out either.

Corporate governance

The aim of the subject Corporate Governance is to provide students with a deeper knowledge of the part of the law of business corporations that deals with capital companies, especially those whose securities are listed on a regulated market. Attention is paid mainly to legislation and practice in connection with the issues of management and administration of the joint stock company.

Financial law

Although financial law is part of public law, it is undoubtedly closely related to business, and therefore students in a program focused on corporate law should have a basic overview in this area. Within the course, students will be explained issues related to the subjects of financial law, financial control and the basics of tax and budgetary law.

Financial management of the company

By studying the subject of financial management of a company, the student will get acquainted with the basics of financial management and the position of financial management within business management. After completing this course, students will be able to clarify the concept of individual financial policies, reveal their interconnectedness and their conceptual role in strategic corporate financial planning aimed at increasing the market value of the company.

Insolvency proceedings, liquidation of a business corporation

Insolvency law is part of a civil process that is closely linked to the issue of the dissolution of companies. The aim of this course will be to acquaint students not only with the basic concepts related to insolvency, but also with the course of proceedings, which is increasingly relevant in practice and much more often applied, making knowledge of this area absolutely necessary for lawyers in practice.

Regulation of financial markets

The subject Regulation of Financial Markets is the last block of teaching and is focused not only on the regulation of financial markets, but also on understanding the complex functioning of financial markets, financial institutions and their instruments. The course will cover topics focused on banking unions, capital adequacy or the financial crisis in 1929 and 2008.

Project management

By studying the subject project management, you will get the opportunity to get acquainted with the main processes of business management. You will gain knowledge of project management and acquire skills and abilities for the practical application of project management in the management system of companies and other institutional organizations.
